Darjeeling Imperial F.O.P. Tea

Black tea from India with whole leaves. A bright tea with unrivalled finesse; the first notes are green and flowery, then evolve into citrus, fruity flavours. The Darjeeling is the only tea with a recognized PGI and it is grown in the most prestigious and old tea gardens in Britain.

Darjeeling (West Bengal province), at the foot of the Himalayas, is a mecca for teas. This high-altitude region produces teas with a unique and remarkable aromatic character. It's in this region that we harvest this F.O.P (Flowery Orange Pekoe) grade Darjeeling Imperial, selected for its floral aroma and subtle fruity and woody flavour.
When tasted, the twisted leaves release a dark-brown liquor with subtle floral and ripe fruit aromas.

Sensory analysis

Once infused, the tea reveals a coppery color and a slightly astringent but balanced flavor with notes of muscat, hazelnut and wild flowers. This imperial Darjeeling offers a fresh and slightly spicy finish, with a velvety texture.

Tasting advice

Steeping time: 3 minutes - 95°C. To be savored with a Fauchon pastry.
