Volnay 1er Cru Les Lurets Dominique Lafon 2013 ORGANIC

Organic growing. The Premier Cru vineyards are often divided into several distinct zones, each associated with a particular location or morphological feature. What is often overlooked, however, is the great unity of this area, located in the middle of the slope that runs from Pommard to Meursault. This unity is due in part to the fact that the Volnay ‘terroir’ is not really cut by a Combe - as is the case with Pommard, for example - because the geological notch that divides the finage is in fact a dry Combe that has not generated any silty deposits.
