Fauchon Blackcurrant jam is part of a collection of jams made from the finest French fruit. This range from France exploits the specific characteristics of each terroir to ensure production under the best possible conditions. The blackcurrants in Fauchon jam come from the Ile de France region. The region's mild, humid climate is conducive to their development, resulting in juicy, fragrant fruit. Fauchon's artisanal recipe releases the bitterness of the blackcurrant while preserving its freshness. The fruit is meticulously selected at just the right ripeness to preserve and intensify its aromas and fragrances. To enhance the quality of the ingredients, Fauchon perpetuates tradition through slow cooking in small quantities, using cane sugar in copper cauldrons. This ancestral method brings out the caramelized, honeyed flavors that are the signature of Fauchon jams.
